Hi, I am a PhD Student in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maryland at College Park. Currently I am working as a full time Graduate Research Assistant in Robotics, Automation, Manipulation and Sensing (RAMS) Laboratory, supervised by Professor Jaydev P. Desai.
EDUCATION
- Ph.D. – Mechanical Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park, MD (Sep 2008 – Present)
- M.S. – Mechanical Engineering, Washington University, St. Louis, MO (July 2003 – June 2005)
- B.S. – Mechanical Engineering, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA (Sep 1999 – June 2003)
RESEARCH
- Current
- Previous
- Designed, manufactured, constructed, and tested a biological tissue impacter prototype
- Constructed and analyzed theoretical viscoelastic models of brain impact through finite element analysis
- Designed, manufactured, and constructed caster for a Mars explorer, minimizing drag and optimizing lateral force for turning and climbing
- Designed and constructed ultra-thin pressure barriers using a uniform tension mesh to solve barrier bulging problems, decreasing electron backscattering
